We could banish a people.
Call them monsters and declare them unlawful.
Send them away. righteously.
Wouldn’t it be easier if the bad things were done by bad people?
If the wrong things were done by the ones who were wrong.
Who spoke wrong. Who ate wrong. Who walked wrong. Who were wrong.
Wouldn’t it be easier to cut the whole tree down? the entire thing.
Rotten apples shaking with each thunk of the axe.
And when the tree would fall down, the stump would show it all.
